Fisherfolk near Madh

The village of Madh is within the great urban sprawl of Mumbai, and the buildings of one of Mumbai's suburbs appear in the background.  The waterway is Malad Creek.  You'll see who was waiting to the sort the fish: the women, the birds, and a snake.  The pink stuff around the snake is the catch, but I don't know what it's called.

It's not that often you see a snake on the prowl like this, but it does happen. It must be the abundance of fish that attracts the snake.
